Is there too much hype over the possibility of catching swine flu? Surely there is no more chance of catching this illness than falling prey to a bizarre garden or household accident?

the American government has issued a health warning about the level of risk of catching Swine flu and have deemed it to be high. This has caused my husband to feel worried about travelling there as planned for Xmas shopping, however there are a 1000 reported cases in the whole of the USA out of a population of over 300 million. That's 0.0003%! Yes the situation is completely blown out of proportion and people should STOP scare mongering!
