In Britain the over-60s will soon outnumber the under-16s, that means one in five people in the UK are over 65 years of age and most are retired. Not exactly a shocking statistic, until you learn that the average pensioner spends more time engaged in physical activity than the average 19-year-old, and Britain’s senior citizens are on the move, venturing further than ever before on their holidays. However, although the cost of travelling has decreased for most of us, the same cannot be said for the cost of travel insurance for the over 50’s.
