Strikes across France are set to cause travel chaos this week, so we take a look at what Staysure customers should do if they are affected.
British holidaymakers are expecting travel chaos this week after a two-day French airstrike was announced for Thursday and Friday. If the strikes go ahead they are expected to cause major disruption to flights to and from France, with flights through French airspace also likely to be affected. Airlines have been told to cut 40 per cent of their flights, while budget airline Ryanair warned that millions of customers could see their holiday plans cancelled or disrupted.

The strikes were publicly announced on June 29, so customers who bought Staysure travel cover on this date or after will not be allowed to submit a claim under the Cancellation, Curtailment and Travel Delay section of their policy. However, if you purchased a Comprehensive policy you may claim under the Travel Delay section if you purchased cover before June 29.
