Thanks to Macmillan Cancer Support, coffee, cake and chats are taking the nation by storm. Thousands of people across the UK are organising and attending coffee mornings to support The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a huge fundraiser for the UK charity, which last year raised a record £15 million, purely in donations on the day from all those enjoying morning coffee with friends. Many participants arrange coffee mornings at work, which is a great way of bringing work colleagues together and raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Others raise money by inviting their friends and family to their home.
“Holding a coffee morning is great fun – inviting friends and family round for a cuppa, a piece of cake and a chat is a nice way to raise money. The sense of achievement once it is over and you have a count up to see what you have raised for Macmillan, it really is amazing,” says home coffee morning host, Jo Prebble.
