Leading UK insurer Staysure has won the prestigious ‘Voice of the Employee Award’ in the 2017 UK Employee Experience Awards at the Park Plaza Riverside Hotel in London on March 23.
Employees from Staysure’s Learning & Development Team accepted the top prize which acknowledged the company’s ongoing work to develop some of the best employee experience initiatives in the UK.
The team, led by Trudy Purchase and Richard Loveday, was also responsible for putting forward Staysure’s entries for which the company was shortlisted in two categories: ‘Voice of the Employee’ and ‘Internal Recognition’.
The winning submission reflected the work undertaken by the company in using the Best Companies Survey to gather and act upon valuable employee feedback. This has led to the insurer’s successful Stepping Stones Programme and the creation of Employee Action Teams (E.A.T.) throughout the business.
Staysure’s competition included a host of highly successful UK companies including Virgin Money and the University of Leeds.
Staysure’s CEO, Julian Kearney, said of the win: “This is yet a another great milestone for Staysure in gaining external recognition for our on-going Colleague Engagement Programme and a reflection of the hard work and commitment so many of our employees contribute towards making Staysure a great place to work.”
All of the award entries were judged by panels of independent business people using a scoring methodology and criteria endorsed by Cranfield School of Management.
In their third year, the Awards are known as an innovative and creative event for all employee-centric businesses across the UK.
