Members of Staysure’s Coventry-based travel team have raised £2,100 for local charities, Jan’s Dog Rescue and Zoё’s Place Trust.

Staysure’s fundraising activities included a charity auction and a raffle as well as a tuck shop, which was set up in the Staysure office.

The charities were chosen after Staysure employees were asked to nominate good causes they would like the company to support.

Volunteers from Jan’s Dog Rescue, which retrains and finds new homes for abandoned or difficult dogs, attended the company’s Coventry office to collect the donation cheque.

A spokesperson from the rescue said: “I can’t explain how much the money raised will help – it’s hard work keeping the rescue going physically and financially but it’s more than worth it.”

Muna Chauhan, corporate fundraising manager from Zoё’s Place Trust, also voiced her gratitude to Staysure staff members: “We rely so much on individuals and businesses in the local area to help us meet our charitable objectives of providing high quality, nursing care for babies and infants with life-limiting and life threatening illnesses and much needed respite for their families.

“This generous donation will fund 40 hours of care.”
