Staysure is the over 50s expert, specialising in insurance and financial services in the UK and Europe, with our UK headquarters being located in Northampton.

Company Profile

Staysure.co.uk Ltd was formed in 2004 by Ryan Howsam to provide comprehensive yet reasonably-priced travel insurance for the growing number of over 50s within the UK.

Today this is still our mission, however we have expanded to include a wide range of insurance products for both UK residents and expatriates alike. In addition to our travel, home, motor, health and life insurance, Staysure also offers travel holidays and cruises through its fully ABTA-bonded travel agency. Our management team bring a wealth of experience to our high-quality products, all of which has helped us to be recognised as ‘the over 50s experts'.

Looking to the future we are constantly accessing new products and services that will benefit our customers, as we aim to become a one-stop-shop for all insurance, travel and over50s lifestyle products, both at home in the UK and worldwide.

Milestones

2004
Staysure travel insurance

Staysure launched by originally providing travel insurance policies specifically to over 50s at the lowest possible price. Today's policies are still low cost but now include cover for over 220 pre-existing conditions for no extra cost and offer the option of medical screening for more serious illnesses.

2008
Staysure holiday home insurance

Affordable building and contents insurance for clients who own a second home in Europe, Eire and the UK.

Staysure holiday money

Introduced in partnership with HIFX to provide ‘Staysure Holiday Money' online at favourable exchange rates and delivered direct to the door.

2009
Staysure home insurance

Staysure added home insurance to its product list, chosen for the benefits afforded to mature clients and the peace of mind of being underwritten by a panel of leading UK insurers.

Staysure private health insurance

Private health insurance was added to the mix, with policies provided by AXA PPP, Bupa, Pru Health, General & Medical and Aviva so customers have the luxury of being able to compare all suppliers in one place for their convenience and ease. The Staysure range has been chosen with specific over 50s benefits and value for money in mind.

Staysure car insurance

Clients can benefit from a choice of great value policies available from several providers plus free legal cover.

Staysure magazine

The first issue was published in October 2009, providing specialist lifestyle, health and showbiz articles, plus product information aimed at the over 50s. In August 2010 the 2nd edition of the magazine was released due to the popularity and demand of the 1st edition last year. It's double the size, with a better quality finish and has even more great articles, offers, recipes, competitions and much much more than before!

Staysure expat insurance

Designed to provide expats living in Europe access to insurance policies with all documents provided in English. We provide an English speaking claims department and a 24-hour helpline, plus a Spanish call centre based in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Our Spanish office is also staffed with bi-lingual UK expat staff and open 7 days a week.

Staysure – Dignity guaranteed pre-paid funeral plans

Pre-paid funeral plans in partnership with Dignity, one of the UK's leading pre-paid funeral plan schemes, allowing clients peace of mind at today's prices.

Travel division

A brand new string to the Staysure bow, the over 50s experts are now supplying travel and cruising holidays to their customers due to a growing demand ascertained from their customer feedback. Excellent prices, weekly special offers and holidays available with all the top and specialist brands in the travel and cruising industries.

Travel Insurance

Our travel insurance provides customers with high-quality cover at a reasonable price, both for UK residents and expats. We offer a range of policies including single trip, annual multi trip and long stay travel insurance, each designed to meet our customer's specific needs. Additionally, we cover 220 pre-existing medical conditions at no extra cost to help keep our customer's costs down!

Health Insurance, Life Insurance Funeral Plans

We work with many leading health and life insurers such as Aviva, BUPA, PruHealth and many more to bring our customers a wide range of choice and a policy that is right for them. Providing many different options means that we have something to suit all needs and budgets, as well as being able to offer exclusive deals and discounts not available directly through the provider. Our funeral plans are designed to offer help and assistance in what will be a difficult time, with our funeral experts on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Motor Insurance

Our motor insurance is designed to reward customers for their years of driving experience by offering quality cover at competitive prices. We work with many leading insurers to ensure that our customers always receive the best policy, as well as including perks such as a free courtesy car and free windscreen cover on all comprehensive policies.

Home Insurance

We provide first-class buildings and contents insurance to make sure that all your possessions have adequate cover. By using a consortium of insurers we make sure that you receive high quality cover at a reasonable price.

As a fully ABTA-bonded travel agency, Staysure Travel has a multitude of holidays and cruises to suit all tastes and budget. Our expert travel agents are able to offer as much or as little help as needed, so are perfect for those who know exactly what they want to others who have an idea of their dream holiday they want to turn into a reality.

Status Disclosure

Inspired by the growing market and economic power of the over 50s, Staysure.co.uk Limited was formed in 2004 as an insurance intermediary specialising in the senior sector.

Regulated by the Financial Services Authority, the management team has over 50 years collective industry experience and a keen interest in new media as a means of providing the best quality at the lowest possible prices. This has been instrumental in allowing the company to achieve rapid growth.

Staysure′s core proposition is the availability of low cost travel insurance. We are one of the few senior specialists who include pre-existing medical conditions as standard, with screening options for clients suffering more serious illnesses or aged over 80.

In 2008 Staysure Holiday Home Insurance was added to our repertoire providing affordable protection to clients with a second property in Europe, together with an ex-pat scheme for clients who reside permanently overseas.

This year saw the introduction of Staysure Holiday Money in partnership with HiFX.
