On an annual policy, you will have cover until your policy expiration date. To ensure you continue to be covered, it is recommended that you opt-in for auto-renewal through your MyStaysure account.
- For further information about how to opt-in for auto-renewal, Click Here

This includes details about how to make a claim, the responsibilities of the policyholder, and any other relevant information that may affect the cover.

Our travel insurance operates on the basis that all travellers are healthy, fit to travel and able to undertake the trip.
The Insurance will not provide cover if any traveller:

There is no requirement for travel insurance and passport details to match. In the event of a claim we will need to establish that the person making the claim is the person insured with us, but the passport is not essential to that process.

We offer two types of insurance policies to suit you and your family’s travel plans:
Single Trip Travel Insurance: If you’re going on a stand-alone trip, then our Single Trip cover may be ideal for you. Once your holiday is over, your cover will stop too. For single trips, you can stay for up to 104 days at a time, with no upper age limit.
Annual Travel Insurance is great if you’re planning on going on more than one holiday a year. Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance policies cover your travel plans for up to 183 days in total. There is no upper age limit on our Annual Multi-Trip policies.
Your individual trip limits are:
- 50 days per trip for travellers up to and including 70 years old.
- 35 days per trip if your 71 years old or over.
- Neither can exceed 183 days in total per year
All our policies can be tailored to suit your unique travel plans to make sure you’re covered properly.
If you wish to see further detail on the level of cover for your policy then you'll need to check the relevant policy wording.
You should be covered to visit most destinations across the globe, as long as the country you’ve chosen is safe to visit.
To check your destination is safe to visit, take a look at the FCDO’s travel advice. The FCDO’s advice may change, so make sure you check it’s safe to travel before you set off as well as while you are away.
If the FCDO, World Health Organisation or local authorities have advised against all or all but essential travel to your destination, it wouldn’t be safe for you to travel.
If you travel against the FCDO’s advice, your policy would become invalid and wouldn’t cover you if you needed to claim. Even if advice changes while you’re on holiday, you won’t be covered if your destination was listed as unsafe when you travelled.
Tickets that are purchased using Air Miles or other reward programs are not eligible for cover.
This means that if you use your accumulated Air Miles or reward points to pay for your ticket, you will not be able to claim any issues or problems that may arise during your travel.
It's important to keep this in mind when using these types of payment methods for your flight tickets.
Yes, your glasses are included in your cover. This information can be found in the personal baggage section of your policy as shown below:
"We will only pay up to £150 in total for sunglasses or prescription glasses of any kind"
Please refer to the General Exclusions and General Conditions sections for further information on the cover we provide under this policy.
The General Exclusions section outlines any specific situations or circumstances that are not covered by the policy. It is important to review this section to understand any limitations or restrictions on the cover provided. The General Conditions section provides important information about the terms and conditions of the policy. This includes details about how to make a claim, the responsibilities of the policyholder, and any other relevant information that may affect the cover.
Yes, in the event you or an insured traveller dies abroad, this travel insurance policy will cover you as stated within the policy wording document.
"We will pay up to the amount shown on the table of benefits for each insured person who suffers sudden and unforeseen bodily injury, or illness, or who dies during a trip outside your home country for the following"

This means that if a war breaks out in your destination country and you need to cancel your trip as a result, you will not be eligible for reimbursement or compensation under our policies. We may be able to amend your policy if you rebook your trip.
If you rebook a holiday, we can:
- Change your travel dates on your single-trip travel insurance policy. Everyone can move their holiday dates at least 18 months from the date they bought their policy. There may be an additional charge if there are any significant changes, such as changing your destination.
- Also change your holiday destination to any other country that is safe to travel to, as long as there is no increase in cost. If there is an increased premium, you’d need to pay the price difference to change your cover.

Not answered your question? Take a look at our help center for what you need to know before buying a policy.
Single Trip
You can travel with a single trip policy to multiple destinations, as long as all the destinations you’re visiting are listed on your Validation Certificate.
So, if you’re visiting Canada and hopping over the border to the USA in one trip, you’ll be covered as long as you let us know.
The difference between choosing a single trip or annual policy is how often you’re planning on travelling, how long you’re planning on travelling for and where you’re going on holiday.
If you have several trips planned in the space of a year, you may find that an annual policy offers you better value for money compared to buying multiple individual policies.
Both our single trip and annual policies have no upper age limit.
If you haven't travelled, Then you can make this amendment online by accessing your MyStaysure Account.
If you have travelled please contact our customer services team in this situation as every case is handled on a case by case basis and it is not guaranteed once travelled. This is due to the different possibilities and risks involved regarding why an extension is needed.
