It's a requirement of our travel insurance to take a GHIC (Global Health Insurance Card) or EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) with you when travelling to Croatia. But remember a GHIC or EHIC is a compliment to travel insurance, not a substitute for it.

The GHIC or EHIC entitles you to free or reduced cost health care in the state health providers in Croatia.

But remember, neither a GHIC or EHIC will cover you for non-medical related mishaps on your trip, and won't cover you if you need to be flown home. Only travel insurance can provide you with that peace of mind.

If you use your GHIC or EHIC when abroad, we will waive your travel insurance excess if you need to make a medical claim.

You can make changes to your policy before your trip starts, subject to the T&Cs of your policy.
