Scottish entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne might be famous for many things, but his luxury Windermere holiday lodge is also well-known amongst locals in the Lake District.
It opened its doors to the nation on ITV1’s “Through the Keyhole” with Keith Lemon rummaging through Bannatyne’s belongings and amusing the audience by getting stranded on a boat not once, but twice on Lake Windermere. When Duncan showed up on-stage, he gave Keith a few hints on how to effectively sell his “Through the Keyhole” key chain and, to make the day, a member of the audience snapped it up for £120!
The entrepreneur’s business acumen is indisputable, as is his instinct to sniff out the right deal – he isn’t on the panel of Dragons’ Den for nothing, after all. Now wealthy individuals can follow in his footsteps by buying the biggest, most high spec holiday home on the lakeside development of Fallbarrow Holiday Park.
The brand new 55ft by 22ft three-bedroom, three-bathroom Cambrian Skylantern Super Lodge majestically overlooks Windermere Lake from an elevated plot – an ideal location for the perfect UK holiday home. With a price tag of £800,000, the lodge features state-of-the-art automated fittings plus a unique glass roof, perfect for stargazing.
The lodge can sleep up to seven people and also boasts an extensive decking area with a hot tub at the front of the lodge, so that you can enjoy the mesmerising views of the lake. Inside, the kitchen is furnished to a high standard and the lounge is stylishly decorated.
When buying a holiday lodge at the park, the entrepreneur says: “If you’ve got young kids, it’s a fantastic life, so I’d always encourage anyone to do it. I can just jump in the car and go, without having to pack everything all the time. Bowness is absolutely my favourite place in the Lakes – from years ago it has a special place in my heart.”
